I think Google has some sketchy ad policies (they don't check to see whether or not companies are legit before letting them advertise), so I really just market myself by myself, in the blog community.

The wonderful thing about places like Adbrite is you have much more control over the ads that appear on your pages. Also, if things haven't changed too much, their program is alot more forgiving than Google's Adsense.

Blogging for profit is great... Google will love your blog if it has original content and is well displayed.. not too many ads and good linnks.. simple eh?

I'm thinking of making a new blog to try Adbrite... the thing is I want to develop it in a different way. I think I will use the affiliates better. We'll see.

If I can ask a newbie question, I'd like to know if the affiliate links on your site have to be very closely related to the topic of your site. Isn't this kind of limiting for most topics? |
