.forum domain registration

I noticed the other day that you can now register .forum domains. Now I am not sure how long this has been possible to do as I have never seen this domain extension before.

Have you ever or would you ever use a .forum extension for your site say if you were running a forum? What are your thoughts on a .forum extension?

As much as I feel it would be ideal going from .com to .forum isn't really something I would like to do myself.

I have known about this extension a little while now and whilst I feel it is a good extension to have if you have a forum I still feel it doesn't beat something more professional looking like .com, .co.uk, .org or .net. I myself wouldn't use this extension but at the same time I also wouldn't say anyone was in the wrong for doing so if they owned a forum.
