How do people make money on cheap domains

Hi,

I have seen domains at ebay sold at auctions, starting from 9.99$, with no reserve price. As far as I have seen, domain registration is worth about 8-9$, so how can they make money? Am I missing something?

These people make more money and we really do not know how they do it. That is business.

there are more ways to obtain a domain than just straight out buying it for full price. There are coupons, buyer's clubs, and domain rewards, and even the fact that some people just want to get a few bucks back on a domain that they bought and later decided they didnt want it.

Also, the domains may be failed domains that didn't perform. Maybe they wouldnt sell or make any parking money. The seller might not want to renew them and may be trying to recover their initial reg fee investment before they expire.

if the domain are suitable for some one s cheap software business ,they may pay good money for that domain buy cheap software

I would like to share my experience with you regarding making money with cheap domain names. I use to buy some cheapest domain names from online providers, who provides the domain names at cheapest rate. I have a reseller account in the site Goresellers.com , where i got more commission by inviting customers to the site. Here we can fix our own price for our domain and the commission will be depend upon the rate which is fixed by us. After buying and selling each domain names i used to check the registration details using the site WhoisXY.com .
