So the TRAFFIC conference is over, and Monikor launched their domain auction which lasted about 3.5 hours... and in those 3.5 hours, $11 Million worth of domains were sold.

The average sale price was $96,000 per name.

Many domains actually got relatively high offers, but a lot of buyers refused. If they had accepted, there would have been $63 MILLION spent during the domain auction.

Beautiful List !! I want #10. Historian.com for $25,000. It was a large list and many, many sales of domains. That was just amazing how such a large amount could be sold so quickly.

Wow, that just knocks me down. And the amount some of the people "passed" on it just silly. But I need money badly so I would go for about anything myself.

These must be some big players. To have $30.000.00 ready to plunk down on a domain name is incredible!

Is #45 for real?? 3 million dollars for 2 domains??? WOW! I mean, they will have their money back right away with the freecredit check alone... but still, I think is way too much money!

I agree that the cost is incredible. I can' help but think that it would take a very long time to recover the cost of buying those domains...
