Now where does it say that "surcharge" is supposedly for insurance? Do you
think $0.22 is enough to cover insurance for high-priced domain names like
men.com?

You are confusing terms here. I used the verb insure not the the noun insurance. It does not matter who you register with if you register Dogpoop.com and it goes through it's your's for the duration of the registeration period and no one else can have your dogpoop.com

My bad, then, because AFAIK the word "insure" means to either take some
precautions or get insurance. Something along those lines.
However, my point is you don't get "insured" by that ICANN surcharge. While
the registrar definitely takes precautions to
ensure the domain name will not
be taken away, we end users ought to also take precautions as well to
make
sure that doesn't happen.
Your registrar's registration contract defines those responsibilities and limits.
Well I personally believe in over insuring myself. I do it with my car and my house. I think that I'd rather have it covered in case something happens.

LOL!!! Aquariancore... you really registered that domain??? I can't even check if the name is actually taken, because it made me laugh so much!!! But I totally "get" the "insurance" you are talking about!
Now I just know that Godaddy don't allowed to use their tredmark name
