I have a MySpace account with no idea how to maximize its potential. I have a friend who apparently makes thousands a year on MySpace and need to seriously pick his brain. Any link suggestions for beginning to use MySpace?

How much should we except? I really have no idea? Is it more of a marketing tool? Or do some actually sell on their Myspace? Thankx for any and all help, Echos

MySpace is a marketing tool in the way that you build a friends list using a program, you sent out like 400 invitations a day and within a week you have a solid friends list you can promote on. How much money you make depends on how well you convert traffic to either clicks or sales on your site.

Interesting to see how the ways to use MySpace have developed. I'm not a fan of it, personally, but that's a taste thing more than anything. What I do notice is a number of commercial entities do use MySpace for promotion. Whether it's really viable for anyone or anything that isn't a big name, I don't know.

Let me get this right myspace is a form of free advertising that will allow you to at least get the word out about your domain. How in the world is Myspace making money then? I am a firm believer that nothing in life is free. I really don't get it, please explain?
