I didn't think that so many of used strayed away from windows XP. I have been using windows 98, then when xp came out, been using it ever since. I've never had any problems with it, I do a complete wipe once every 18 months or so to keep my pc running fairly good, and its very newby friendly. I would never think about using anything else, except vista whenever I get a new pc.

Vista is stable but it can be a headache for many as Vista can identify errors better than XP.
So expect to see error messages often on Vista.
