CalleSoccer.com is a new site taking European soccer expertise and selling related gear online to an American west coast audience, with Soccer.com now ready to sell its up-and-coming products in its online store.
Calle Soccer takes the Spanish word for street â calle - and combines it with soccer to create a catchy and memorable name â but the site will benefit from an even catchier product-specific one with Soccer.com now a trading partner.
The Eurosport group has a wide distribution reach within the soccer-playing and supporting demographic, making the the deal with Soccer.com a profitable one for the start-up.
Josh Robbins, CalleSoccer.com chief, explained his ambitious plans to take soccer gear beyond kits and balls to Yahoo! Finance.
"Soccer is the only sport that doesn't have fashion apparel. We're going to give the player everything he needs off the field, everything that says, 'I play soccer'," he said.
