Check also with your credit card! see if you are covered with some damage or something... maybe renting a car... maybe they will cover that¨"accdental damage"

That's true...though more so with a specific company...for example, my alienware card would cover damage to anything I bought on it above the general warranty.

I am fortunate in that I have never had to send a computer back to have it repaired, but I can certainly commiserate with those who have.
