Purchasing domains to hold
#1
I have known people to jump on a domain to hold them and not use them, just keep renewing them. Is there a reason behind this? Can it have good benefits on the buyer if they buy a domain and hold it? I heard the age of the domain can make a difference but surely just holding it and not doing anything with it doesn't make much of a difference?

I would love to purchase a domain name and hold onto it however I can never seem to get hold of the right kind of domain name that would be worth keeping hold of to make some extra cash so I never really bother. It really is all about the timing I guess and always being on top of expiring domain names.
