I remember reading somewhere about ad revenue that pays better than adsense or amazon. It paid better due to the fact that was based on pop up ads. Each time a visiter comes to the site and the pop up ad is displayed, you get paid. Does anyone know anything about this? Any legitimate pop up affiliate programs that pay well and won't give my visitors viruses?

I don't know about it, but if I was a visitor to a site that had pop up advertising I would never visit the site again. People hate pop ups and it would probably drive traffic away from your site.

Yes, I know. I've thought about that. About.com has them and I keep going back to their site.

I HATE pop up ads! Itry to avoid very much sites that have them. So, I don't use any one on my sites. I rather use just Google and if people wants to click, they will. I might be loosing revenue, but I rather keep my readers.

You know your site best, you have to decide if your readers will want to visit your site badly enough to tolerate pop ups.

Thank you justontime.
I googled the pop-up affiliate and came up with these services:
http://www.paypopup.com/
http://casalemedia.com/
http://www.infinityads.com/
Anyone have experience with them, or know of any that pay better?

Aren't popup blockers extremely common these days?
I've had a popup blocker on both of my computers for quite a while now.

I find pop up ads annoying and don't want them getting between my site and someone trying to shop there!

I know that I have a pop-up blocker automatically installed with Firefox and I think the new Internet Explorer has that feature as well. Just the same I wouldn't want to have pop-ups regardless as they're extremely unattractive for a site in my opinion.

I use a pop up blocker and there is also one provided by the internet service provider I use. Very few get through at all, but even those that do are gone in a couple of seconds.
