On 24 June 2011 in Singapore, the ICANN Board approved the FY12 Operating Plan and Budget as noted in the Board resolutions . This document describes the planned core operations and project activities, aligned with the required funding, for the 2012 fiscal year. These funded project activities are based on ICANNâs strategic priorities as documented in the adopted three year 2012-2014 Strategic Plan, and include input taken from comments and feedback received from the community on both the FY12 Budget Framework posted on 17 February 2011 and the draft Operating Plan and Budget posted on 17 May 2011.
For the first time in the budget development process, there was an opportunity for the Supporting Organizations, Advisory Committees, and Stakeholder Groups to provide input into the Budget, specifically regarding funding requests for activities beyond the scope of basic services which are provided to all stakeholder and constituency groups. Those additional requests that were approved as part of the adopted budget will be implemented in conjunction with the ICANN Policy staff work
Additionally, the Board approved two other projects for staff and community work in FY12: the Internet Number Certification (RPKI) Program and the JAS (Joint Applicant Support) Working Group
