The domain name has to be registered with Namecheap and the process is seamless, once you add it to the Marketplace the buyer buys it like they would a normal domain at Namecheap, payment and transfer is taken care of by Namecheap. The maximum you can sell a domain for at the Namecheap Marketplace is $250 and Namecheap takes 10% of the sale price. But you can pick up a new domain for $9.69 (a monthly coupon to buy a domain for $8.81 - 88 cents off - is usually available). You can still make a tidy profit at Namecheap. Namecheap also allows you to accept different offers on your domain if you are the negotiating type.
