Hi,
Apache(http) is a web service which is used for hosting websites on a server.
If you’ve not setup a control panel like cPanel or Plesk and want to setup a website on your VPS, you need to setup this service and configure it to map (virtualhost) the site contents.
Once the virtualhost is created, you can upload the site contents at the mentioned server location via FTP.
Before you proceed, make sure you setup LAMP on the VPS.
If you don’t have a control panel for your VPS - CentOS 6 and want to host a website, this article will help you to create an Apache VirtualHost easily using our script.
Once the VirutalHost of a website is created, your VPS is all set to host your website. You just need to point your domain to your VPS IP address which was used while creating the VirutalHost and upload your website files using FTP.
